SmokeLong Celebration —
Share the Love

Have you taken part in a SmokeLong workshop? Or a SmokeLong webinar? If you have and you’ve published a narrative that began with SmokeLong, we would love to share this during our monthly shout-out.

SmokeLong began offering workshops in person in 2019. We toured the UK–London, Norwich, Birmingham, and Manchester (which is definitely NOT in the Midlands)–and we had the best time. Then COVID came, and we simultaneously moved online–not actually because of COVID, but COVID contributed to our decision ultimately to offer workshops exclusively online. Since 2019, over 800 people have participated in our workshops, and many of you have shared on social media that your work has subsequently been published. Well, this slays us and we want to celebrate your successes.

Please SUBMIT YOUR WORK HERE to inform us of your publications, nominations, and wins during the previous month or relatively recent past. The deadline to inform us is the 20th of each month. Submitting your work also automatically enters you in the next SmokeLong Workshop Prize, a biennial competition celebrating published work that began in a SmokeLong workshop. Entry is free. The next SmokeLong Workshop Prize will be awarded in 2025.

Keep writing and get it out there,
Christopher Allen
