Celebration — August!

September 5, 2024

With A SmokeLong Summer 24 done and dusted, we’ve now had the chance to catch up with the August publications by SmokeLong workshop participants. For August, we’ve listed the publications reported to us below with links when available. Reading through the publications below is also a great way to get an impression of journals publishing flash.

We are so proud of everyone in our workshops. More than 20 publications in August! A few are still forthcoming, but we’ll share them when they’re published. And these are just the people who took the time to let us know. Remember that if you participate in a SmokeLong workshop and subsequently get something published you started in that workshop, you are eligible to enter The SmokeLong Workshop Prize (on our Submittable page)–and you might just win $500. That’s some sweet cherry gravy* on top! This competition is free to enter, so please do let us know about your successes (always once the narrative has been published). We are rooting for you.

The following list is comprised of narratives that began in a SmokeLong Workshop, were subsequently published, and were reported to us in August 2024. Please browse the titles below and click on a few that invite you in. They are in chronological order.
