Thank you, first of all, to all of the SmokeLong editors who tirelessly read stories over the last 3 months. And thank you to the writers of the short- and longlisted stories who did not make it into the competition issue. Please know that we found so much to love in your story or stories and that we know your work will find a great home. The following stories will all be published in issue 68 next week. Next week! So you can imagine how we are racing to get this issue ready for publication. Thank you to all the editors who are working overtime to get issue 68 out. It really does take a village.
We can tell you the names of the finalists now because we have actually decided who will be winning the top spots. We’ll make that announcement on June 22!
